This will be our first production year for pastured turkey.  We have not raised turkeys in the past but have decided to offer them this year. 

 

We are planning to raise our turkeys in a system similar to our egg-laying hens.  They will be on pasture in an electric fenced area with a portable house.  The house and fence will be moved with the birds on a regular basis to new pastures.  We will be raising 60 turkeys this year so we will not be able to guarantee a specific sized bird.  However, we will work with our customers to provide the size range as best we can.  We will have two distinct types of birds.  The standard white double breasted commercial birds and some heritage Bourbon Red turkeys.
