Our meat chickens are the popular Cornish Cross.  We sell the whole birds with the plump breast that you would expect from store bought birds.  The difference is our birds breathe clean air and are raised on pastures without any antibiotics or hormones in their diets.  This provides a healthy, nutrient dense, and tasty bird.  Once you experience the taste of these type of chickens you will never eats something else and be able to say “tastes like chicken” because these taste like none other.

Our small natural sized groupings of 50 or less birds will have constant  access to fresh air, clean water, green growing pastures and sunshine.  This allows the chickens to mature naturally without constant antibiotic supplements or artificial hormones. 

Coming Spring 2010

 

This will be our first production year for pastured poultry.  We have raised a few birds in the past for our own use and had decided to offer them to our friends and family.  Watch us on our blog and here on our web site for further availability information and the infrastructure construction stories.

Pricing and availability are subject to change. We will be producing approximately 150 birds this year.  Initial interest has been strong and leads us to believe that we will sell out of chickens.  If we in fact do sell out, we will increase our volume the next year and possibly add an additional batch this year. 

 

To avoid availability problems, a small deposit of $5.00 per bird may be placed with us starting in May. If something were to prevent us from delivering any birds, a refund will be made of the deposit.
