Eagle Ridge Farm is a small farm nestled in the Alleghany Highlands of Virginia. We are a diversified farm specializing in growing grass for our livestock. Currently we raise Murray Grey Cattle and a whole slew of layer chickens. We maintain a layer flock of 200—300 birds. Some of the breeds represented include the Americana (as shown on the right), Barred Rock, Rhode Island Reds, Dominique, Leghorns, Wyandottes, and a few exotics for fun. We are following many of the practices developed by Joel Salatin’s Polyface farm. Thanks to Joel for writing all those books and giving tours of his operation.
