Eagle Ridge Farm LLC

Old Fashioned Goodness.

Welcome to our little slice of heaven.

Our Philosophy

· We believe that a healthy environment and gentle and respectful handling grows healthy and content animals that do not require medications to fight diseases found in factory farming.

· We believe that it is our privilege to be the stewards of this farm and that the land it contains should be left in better condition than it was when we inherited it.

· We believe that animals should be treated kindly, humanely, ethically, and have access to fresh air, clean water, green pastures, sunshine and peaceful days.

· We believe that farming can be prosperous and healthful for both us and our customers.

The Golden Eagle is the namesake of our farm.  In the 1970’s there were remains of huge eagle’s nests in trees on the farm and higher up on Mud Run mountain.  The farm is located on the south slope of  this mountain.  The eagles had disappeared due to environmental pressures.   Our generation of the family returned to the farm in 2005 and to our delight captured images of these eagles on a game camera. We celebrate the return of these eagles with the name of our farm and it has become our mission to continue the improvement of the land and to be good stewards of the farm for the coming generations.

Our Mission

Provide our friends, family, and customers a healthier alternative to industrialized meat production that is nutrient dense and flavorful all the while improving the land and remaining good stewards of the farm.

Our Products

Grass fed and finished beef, pasture raised meat chickens and turkeys, and eggs from hens that have access to fresh grass/clover pastures.

Our Farming Practices

We use organic fertilizers, including those provided by our animals, we do not use growth hormones,  or routine antibiotics on our farm.  We do not use routine chemical pesticides as our chickens take care of the pest problems for us.  We focus on providing our animals green pastures, sunshine and fresh air in a minimal stress environment.  Our animals are socialized to us so our presence never causes undo stress even as we tend to their needs.
